How to Live and Feel Better with Chronic Depression

                                                 What is Depression?

Depression in general is more than feeling sad once in a while. 

Depression is a feeling that is present almost every day, 

for most of the day, for over a period of two or more weeks.

How you can address your depression to help you feel better.

Ø   See your doctor. Be transparent about the time you have been depressed.

Ø  Do not engage in using drugs or alcohol to help you feel better.

Ø  Seek professional counselling from a qualified Registered Clinical Counsellor.

Ø  Set a treatment plan with your doctor and counsellor. Stick to it. 

Don’t miss appointments or skip medication.

Ø  Participate in stress reducing activities: exercise, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, 

or journaling and writing down your thoughts.

Ø  Get lots of sleep.
